Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Modesty
As for
your approach to the situation, consider the
attitude of modesty. Like the first image drawn
for this Reading, which was Return, the image of
Modesty promises success. But, in your situation,
YOU create your own success, and in a very
particular way. As the so-called Judgment verse
says, Modesty creates success. The superior
man carries things through. Consider how
your fears are preventing you from carrying
through forthrightly to the end of the task that
you have undertaken. The secret lies in avoiding
any exaggeration of your fears in this situation.
Modesty is an image of moderation. As the central
verse says, Thus the superior man reduces
that which is too much, and augments that which
is too little. He weighs things and makes them
equal. As Richard Wilhelm said in his
commentary on this verse, The superior man
equalizes the extremes that are the source of
social discontent and thereby creates just and
equable conditions. If a man remains modest
despite his merit, he makes himself beloved and
wins the support necessary for carrying his work
through to the end.
In short,
while your anxiety is understandable, it is not
necessary. Everything is going to work out quite
well for your children and for you. Your wife
does not have the power to disrupt your lives in
any substantial way. Do not give her the power
she wouldn't otherwise have, by participating in
psychodramas with her over her reappearance in
your life. Put your own emotions into the
background, be calm and confident, and all will
go well.
