Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Youthful Folly
Now, you should, first of all,
not mistake the use of the term fool
with reference to you. Consider the old proverb
that says, God loves the fool.
Remember that Shakespeares fools were some
of the wisest of the characters in his plays. And
I should also like to recall William Blakes
the fool who persists in his folly shall
become wise, for this last idea may be the
closest approximation to the message that is
implied by the appearance of this image for
todays Reading. After all, it is natural
for the young and inexperienced to be
foolish in various ways. Otherwise
what possible need would we have for the old and
experienced. They should be then mere
placeholders, best put out to sea on drifting ice
flows as we hear about the oldest of the Eskimo.
Basically, the I Ching Oracle is telling you that
you need to learn from your experience. Your
"daydreams and dreams," as you put it,
are a part of the learning experience, a very
important part indeed. If you ignore them, they
will stop coming to you. The source of your
future development in higher consciousness and
intuitive knowing will dry up and be of no more
use to you. The above quoted Judgment suggests
the case of the child who never really listens to
the answers when she asks relentlessly,
Why, why, why, why? Eventually the
parent gets annoyed and sends her off to play
outside. Every teacher has limits.
