Waiting
There is
clearly a lot of frustration, confusion, and
distress that are communicated by your Reading
Request. It can’t always be easy to wait
patiently for the right person who will meet your
true needs as individual. Therefore, there may be
very great meaning in the appearance of the image
of Waiting, which we have drawn for you from our
Chinese Oracle, the so called I Ching, or Book of
Changes. And, it may also relate to what I have
said about making yourself, through
“hermetic” self-knowledge, ready for
the love of your life.
Waiting
is an image of the rain that is about to fall.
And, in the Judgment verse that has been
associated with this image from very ancient
times, the oracle says, “Waiting. If you are
sincere, you have light and success. Perseverance
brings good fortune. It furthers one to cross the
great water.”
The
phrase “crossing the great water” is
part of the jargon associated with this oracle.
You can intuit its meaning. But, basically, the
verse is saying that you can wholeheartedly
commit yourself to the stream of life, in full
optimism and good faith. In other words, dive in
with confidence and enthusiasm. But, even in your
enthusiasm, remember that maintaining your ideals
with regard to love is absolutely essential and
fundamental. This is what
“perseverance” means in this instance.
And, as I said above, have faith in yourself, for
you have “light and success” because
you are “sincere.” It would do the
whole world such a lot of good if we all would
learn that it is not necessary to be so serious
when just being “sincere” will do.
In the
verse that is highlighted specifically for you by
today’s Reading from the image of Waiting,
the oracle says, “Waiting at meat and drink.
Perseverance brings good fortune.” This
verse has been called the “secret” of
the image as a whole. It denotes perfect faith
and self-confidence. Think of my description of
the Queen of Cups, who rules by what people used
to call “Divine Right.” This verse
tells you to enjoy this time of discovery in your
life. Do not be afraid of healthy interactions
with other people, no matter how disappointed you
have been with some relationships in the past.
