Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

the I Ching Oracle, click here.
The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Treading
The idea
of caution is only strengthened by the appearance
of the second of the two images that we drew for
you today from our I Ching Oracle. The image of
Treading should be understood primarily in the
terms suggested by its so-called Judgment. In
this verse, the oracle says, Treading upon
the tail of the tiger, it does not bite the
woman. Success. In another ancient saying
attached to the image of Treading, it is said,
That which treads does not stay. Here
too you find an echo of the idea that you need to
keep moving, and treat any romantic involvement
with the man in question in this Reading as a
purely transitory event in your life. Love in
this case is a tiger and that makes
it dangerous, something deserving intense respect
at a distance.
Another
translation of the name of this image would be
Conduct. And another great ancient verse attached
to this image says, Conduct shows the basis
of character. It is harmonious and attains its
goal. It brings about harmonious conduct.
This, you see, is the opposite of the
conflict that is posed in the first
image. By treading, by moving onward and not
getting bogged down in this relationship, you
would avoid conflict that will otherwise
inevitably arise in this relationship.
I should
also emphasize the way in which this last quoted
verse tends to highlight the importance of
self-determination in your life. Your conduct is,
after all, an expression of your character. And
your character is formulated on the basis of your
faithfulness, or lack thereof, to the ideals that
you set for yourself. The outcome of the
relationship is entirely up to you. You can make
it a success by understanding its limitations,
and by protecting yourself against entanglement
in any serious romance that may arise from it.
If there
has already been some romance between the two of
you, then it may be time for you to think about
what has been said here, and then make some firm
decisions. If not, then it is important that you
realize that a fruitless romance may be the
extent of its potential, and you may want to
consider very carefully how to protect yourself
from any possible negative consequences. Protect
your vulnerabilities. You are still right on
track to the great happiness and fulfillment that
you will find one day.
