Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Splitting Apart
Cultivating
and practicing the tranquility of inner
contentment at this time in your life will be
very wise. In the Songs of a Wayfare
attributed to the early followers of the Buddha,
it is said, He goeth wheresoeer he
will, nor careth wheresoeer he goes.
One could call this radical freedom. In Western
terms, there is the saying, walls and bars
do not a prison make. These phrases seem to
express the calm self-assurance that we believe
you need to cultivate and encourage at this time.
Our I Ching Oracle, which we use rather in the
way that a doctor uses a thermometer, tells us
that you are presently in a time of
Splitting Apart. If this is true, you
need to practice, above all, faith and patience.
The
Judgment associated from very ancient times with
the image of Splitting Apart may express this
general idea best. In the Judgment verse, the
oracle says, Splitting Apart. It does not
further one to go anywhere. Now, in a very
specific sense, this judgment applies directly to
one of your central issues of concern, namely you
status at work. Whatever else may be said about
your situation at work, it is very clear that now
is NOT the time to seek employment elsewhere. (We
do NOT, by the way, see a period of UNemployment
for you in the weeks and months ahead. We do NOT
feel any need to warn you about getting actively
into the labor market, looking for a new
position.)
