I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Splitting Apart
The image
of Splitting Apart describes a moment of great
instability. Confirming what Ive already
said about the danger that you will ignore your
own best judgment in this question, the image of
Splitting Apart describes the dubious conflict of
two attitudes within you. Listen to the verse
that is highlighted specifically for you by
todays Reading from the image of Splitting
Apart. In it the oracle says, There is a
large fruit still uneaten. The superior person
receives a carriage. The house of the inferior
person is split apart. You see, to leave
something that is good to eat, and not eat it, is
to make a deliberate choice. The oracle is
telling you that you have everything going for
you in your life at this time. If you avoid this
pitfall, and pay attention to your own best
judgment despite its way of frustrating your
present desires, then you may expect future
rewards. Think of these future reward to
counteract the loneliness that you feel at this
time.
But if
you stumble in this pitfall, through bad judgment
well, then, there are necessarily
consequences, and they cant be good. In
effect, you would be sabatoging your own progress
in life. The emotional turmoil that would result
would be a very great challenge. Richard Wilhelm,
in his great commentary on this verse, has said
that the inferior mans wickedness is
visited upon himself. His house is split apart. A
law of nature is at work here. Evil is not
destructive to the good alone but inevitably
destroys itself as well.
You can
be either the superior or the inferior person who
is described in this verse. That is the message
that comes to you through this oracle. There is
no issue of fate involved in this question. Only
choice and free will.
