the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching

Obstruction
The image
of Obstruction describes behavior in terms of
coming and going, as, for example, in waiting
passively for the entrance of another individual
into your life, or instead extending yourself
towards another individual in a more active
fashion. And, in both of the verses that have
been highlighted specifically by today’s
Reading from the image of Obstruction, the oracle
says, “Going leads to obstruction.” In
other words, if you were to take an active
interest in A., extending yourself in his
direction, you would be met only with
obstruction. This sense of obstruction, by the
way, is a perfect echo of the image of Nine
Wands, described above. Its description of
boundaries, as I said, stands as a warning to
you, but it also implies that those boundaries
cannot be overcome. They are a substantial
obstruction to a relationship of the kind that
you need and deserve.
But these
two verses from our I Ching Oracle need to be
quoted in full. In the first, the oracle says,
“Going leads to obstruction. Hence she comes
back.” In the traditional understanding of
this verse, someone remains self-contained not
only to protect herself, but also to protect
others. Thus, you may want to think again about
what was said above about A.’s current
position in life. It certainly wouldn’t help
him to enter into a relationship that has no
prospects for true success. He needs healing, not
additional hurt.
And in
the other verse, the oracle says, “Going
leads to obstruction. Coming leads to
union.” Here, we see some confirmation of
our own feelings about the probability of a new
relationship in your life in the relatively near
future. Clearly, “going” into a
relationship with A. would risk an entanglement
that could only impede the “union” that
you seek with your proper mate. Whereas, there
would be great good fortune for you in
“coming,” which means being
self-contained and waiting patiently for the
destined moment that will bring you together with
your future beloved. Everything in life happens
at the perfect moment. This is not always easy to
believe, but when life is viewed in retrospect,
the truth of it is always revealed to the wise.
