Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

the I Ching Oracle, click here.
The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Limitation
Now
turning to your question about R., we have drawn
two additional images. The judgment in this
instance will doubtless surprise you to some
degree. First of all, the oracle tells you that
the chapter in your life called
R. is not yet completed or,
rather, it ought not to be. To put it another
way, your relationship with R. has not yet
fulfilled itself. More to the point, it can only
fulfill itself through an effort on your part to
come out of the isolation into which youve
been put under the circumstances. In essence,
this points to renewed contact between the two of
you, and to the necessity of it. This is why, in
the verse that is highlighted specifically for
you by todays Reading from the image of
Limitation, the oracle says, Not going out
of the gate and courtyard brings
misfortune.
This
pertains so directly to your most recent
experience. We do not think that you should
consider your efforts to be entirely a failure or
mistake. Not to have attempted to renew your
contact would have been a misfortune,
just as it would be today if the opportunity were
to arise again. And it will arise again.
In the
Judgment verse, the oracle says,
Limitation. Success. Galling limitation
must not be persevered in. And there is
another very interesting verse associated with
the image of Limitation that should be of
particular interest to you. This verse takes off
on one of the basic ideas conveyed by the
Judgment verse just quoted, especially with
regard to what is galling (or
painful). It says, Things cannot be forever
separated. Hence there follow the image of
Limitation.
The image
of Limitation is described in terms of fixed
boundaries of time and space. Described literally
by an ideogram for bamboo, with its pattern of
discreet sectioning along the stalk, the image of
Limitation points to the importance of measure
or, as in Shakespeare, of measure
for measure. In the central verse, the
oracle says, Thus the superior person
creates number and measure and examines the
nature of virtue and correct conduct. You
see, virtue is dependent on time. What is
virtuous at one moment is not necessarily
virtuous the next. One must be conscious of how
things change in time.
In short,
there will come a time when the meaning of your
relationship with R. will be fulfilled. Be
patient for the moment when a boundary line can
be drawn between what was virtuous in the past,
and what will be virtuous in the future. When
that moment comes, go out of your gate and
courtyard. Do not hesitate when the right
moment comes. Consult your inner knowing, and the
right moment will be perfectly clear to you. View
the whole matter of timing from a detached point
of view, neither rushing nor delaying, but only
moving at the right time.
It is
interesting to note the particular significance
of the verse that was highlighted for you from
the image of Limitation, and quoted for you
above. This verse shows movement, but it meets an
obstacle. This is why this verse has the effect
of transforming the image of Limitation into the
image of Difficulty at the Beginning. The word
beginning in the name of this second
image is the operative word. As I said above, and
even though it transpired over years of time,
what you have experienced with R. thus far is not
the fulfillment of your relationship. It is only
the beginning of your experience together, and
fraught with difficulty it has certainly
been. Fear not. The past is NOT a barometer
for the future. Life has so many surprises for
people who open up to the force of The Creative
in their lives. Be one of these people. You are
already.
