Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Keeping Still
This
judgment or feeling on our part is wholly
confirmed for us by the image that we have drawn
for you from our I Ching Oracle. As you can see
from the listing above, this image is the image
of Keeping Still. (Normally, two images emerge
from the I Ching in a consultation, The
occasional appearance of just one image from the
I Ching is not a function of our own choice. The
I Ching Oracle is consulted by means of a
meditative practice in which a series of six
numbers is divined. These six numbers ordinarily
result in the drawing of two images, but not
always. When just one image appears, the message
tends to be emphasized to some degree, or it
describes a situation that should be considered
temporarily outside the bounds of the river of
change.)
One of
the verses associated with the image of Keeping
Still has been highlighted specifically for you
by todays Reading. In it the oracle says,
Noblehearted keeping still. Good
fortune. Listen to the words of a great
commentary on this verse. This marks the
consummation of the effort to attain
tranquillity. One is at rest, not merely in a
small, circumscribed way in regard to matters of
detail, but one has also a general resignation in
regard to life as a whole, and this confers peace
and good fortune in relation to every individual
matter.
Please
have trust in the greater wisdom and love that is
embodied in EVERY action and movement in the
Universe. From our limited perspective, things
often seem wrong and unfair, cruel and bitter to
bear. But the human spirit and soul is eternal,
indestructible, and all its vicissitudes in life
arise from the natural requirements of treading a
path that leads us one and all to the Divine.
Time is an illusion, as is death. Know that your
feelings for your sister and your desire to help
her, even to the point of moving to be with her,
all of this comes from a great nobility in you.
Know also, as Milton said, They also serve
who only stand and wait. You may find ways
of supporting your sister from a distance, or
with brief visits, that will be much more helpful
than a move to be with her. You wouldnt
want your own stresses over a move and finding
work to contribute to hers at this very delicate
time.
In
conclusion, we hope additional steps can be taken
to improve your sisters condition, and we
have every hope that as a result she will survive
and recapture vibrant health.
