Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Following
And,
returning to the I Ching Oracle, the image of
Following presents another side of the picture
that also has to be taken into account. One might
express the meaning of this image overall by
calling upon our experience of joy in movement.
When I was a college boy in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, there was a building called the
Joy of Movement Center, which was a
place where people could study yoga, and the
martial arts, as well as modern dance, and
jazzercise, etc. All of those things promote a
sense of well-being, or joy, which comes out of,
and is imparted to, the practiced movement of the
body. It is through artful movement that people
learn to be more open in their attitude toward
life, more tranquilly receptive of all of
lifes eventualities, and full of faith. All
movement practitioners and teachers are trying to
train people in a greater adaptability to life.
Richard
Wilhelm in his great commentary on the image of
Following said that, No situation can
become favorable until one is able to adapt to it
and does not wear himself out with mistaken
resistance. Isn't this in a nutshell the
essence of correctness in the martial arts? The
image of Following tells you to move simply and
easily - or in other words, artfully, in response
to things that happen to you. Its a process
of adapting yourself to, NOT resisting against,
the pressures and currents of the stream of life.
Move along the lines of least resistance, with
faith in your ultimate success. Move forward with
confidence, and with adaptability. As the lyric
from Broadway's "Fantasics" expressed
it, "Follow, follow, follow."
