Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

the I Ching Oracle, click here.
The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

The Clinging
This
counsel of faith comes to you also through the
images that we have drawn for you from our I
Ching Oracle. The image of The Clinging is very
interesting. The image describes the phenomenon
of fire, and through the idea of earthly fire the
mind contemplates the eternal dimension of
limitless life and light that inspires true faith
in every receptive soul. As I said, the image is
very interesting, primarily because, in its
structure, it describes the dependence of the
eternal dimension on the earthly dimension.
Earth, of course, is solid and heavy, in essence
opaque and dark. But, you see, light cannot be
made manifest without a background of darkness on
which it reflects itself. This idea of the mutual
dependence of opposites, the one on the other, is
a constant in all Chinese philosophy. Darkness
and light require each other, or rather arise
together, inseparably joined, just as the
positive and negative poles of a magnet cannot be
severed. Cut a magnet in two, and you will still
have a positive and a negative pole. They may
shift places to some extent, but they cannot
exist in isolation from each other.
Thus, in
one of the verses that has been highlighted
specifically by todays Reading from the
image of The Clinging, the oracle says,
Tears in floods, sighing and lamenting.
Good fortune. This may strike you as a
strange conjunction of ideas sorrow and
good fortune. But think of it terms of the
polarity that I just discussed in the paragraph
above. Sorrow is as much a part of life as joy.
But the thing to keep focused on is life, which
both sorrow and joy hold in common. For life
implies by its very nature good fortune. This is
the faith that you need to maintain at all times.
Dont be led astray by the sadness and hurt
that you have experienced in the past. There is
yet a very great joy to be experienced in your
life in the present and future. And in the second
verse that has been highlighted specifically by
todays Reading from the image of The
Clinging, this is explicitly promised to you.
Very simply, the oracle says, Yellow light.
Supreme good fortune.
