It is the portent of material prosperity and affluence, perfect fulfillment in home and family, the abundance of all good things, psychological and emotional security, and the good fortune that is build on lasting foundations of order and peace. In our experience, the image often reflects the benefits that people enjoy as the fruit of the former success of their parents, grandparents, and even more distant ancestors. Indeed, we sometimes sense in it a reflection of the good "karma" (i.e. causal effect) that comes to people from previous incarnations in past lives. It is never easy to anticipate an individual's response to the circumstances of fate. One person is as likely to decry the lack of support that he has had from his parents, as another man is likely to feel that it is better to turn his back on such support and achieve his success entirely on his own. The latter was the case with one of our clients, who, unfortunately, was suffering from a prolonged period of unemployment that had severely drained his hard-earned savings to near exhaustion. When we drew the image of Ten Pentacles for his Reading, we could see that there must be someone in his family who would be more than willing to help him out in what was, after all, only a temporary crisis. Moreover, we asked him to consider that this someone would regard himself as being the one who was blessed under the circumstances, by virtue of his being to help. In his reply, our client told us about his father who was one of the wealthiest businessmen in the province of Alberta, Canada. While their relationship had always been warm and loving, the family tradition was one of self-reliance, and the son had been loathe even to let his father know that he was unemployed. After our Reading, our client asked for a loan, which was repaid with a hug within the year. |
