It is associated with emotional and psychological enthusiasm, as well as erotic energy. It signifies great stimulative powers. It is the emblem of optimism and good faith. It describes courage in the approach to a goal. One looks fear in the face, and takes a stand with the Ace of Wands. It says "Yes" to life and the Universe. In one of our psychic readings, the Ace of Wands appeared with reference to a question about love and romance. Our client asked about a new relationship that she was very excited about. The Ace of Wands certainly confirmed the high erotic attraction that was the basis of this relationship. Unfortunately, in this particular Reading, the Ace of Wands appeared in close juxtaposition with the Knight of Cups, which appeared in a reversed position. The reversal of the Knight of Cups often signifies deception and dishonesty in love. We did not feel that in this instance our client's lover was intentionally being untrue to her. However, intent is not always the determining factor. The irony with which Shakespeare put words of advice in the mouth of the deplorably pompous Polonius did nothing to diminish their wisdom: "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." Thus, in this Reading, we were not able to encourage our client about the outcome of her new relationship. We suggested that she exercise caution, moderate her expectations, and strictly limit her vulnerability to the man in question. |
