Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

the I Ching Oracle, click here.
The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Retreat
In short,
the Emperor appears as a sign of the need for
absolutely objective self-control. Emotions of
the heart are not the best guide in this
situation. This is echoed for us in the image of
Retreat, which we have drawn for you on this
question from the Chinese oracle. Getting back to
what we said about the relevance of caution, we
would quote the first verse that is highlighted
specifically for you by this Reading (there are
two such verses in this particular image):
At the tail in retreat. This is dangerous.
One must not wish to undertake anything.
This, of course, underlines our sense that no
attempt should be made to turn this relationship
into a committed marriage bond. But it also
implies that something is amiss in the fact that
this is not realized early on in the
relationship. This leads inevitably into areas of
conflict, at least within you.
Hesitation
and lack of firm judgment may afflict you. The
second verse says, A halted retreat is
nerve-wracking and dangerous. To retain people as
men and maidservants brings good fortune.
The reference to men and maidservants actually
conforms to what we said about the possibility of
establishing this relationship on the basis of
friendship instead of romantic intimacy. But the
main point is that you are being alerted to the
fact that uncertainty and doubt will tend to
plague you about this. Realize, that sometimes it
is best to allow something NOT to move forward.
Time has a way of making us see things
differently even if we dont know what has
changed.
