Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Limitation
In an
echo of everything said thus far about your
relationship with the woman that you asked about,
we have drawn the image of Limitation from our I
Ching Oracle. Normally, two images emerge from
the I Ching in a consultation, The occasional
appearance of just one image from the I Ching is
not a function of our own choice. The I Ching
Oracle is consulted by means of a meditative
practice in which a series of six numbers is
divined. These six numbers ordinarily result in
the drawing of two images, but not always. When
just one image appears, the message tends to be
emphasized to some degree, or it describes a
situation that should be considered temporarily
outside the bounds of the river of change. In
this instance, the oracle reflects on your recent
relationship with just one image or idea: the
idea of limitation.
The most
fundamental limitation described in the image of
Limitation is the one associated with the realm
of time. Thus, in the central verse, the oracle
says, Thus the superior man creates number
and measure, and examines the nature of virtue
and correct conduct. Now that the measure
of this particular experience of love has reached
its final limit in time, what is the nature
of virtue and correct conduct in this
instance? Look within your own spirit and soul
and you will know the answer. Certainly, as
Im sure youll agree, it is NOT to
lose faith in cynical doubt of yourself or your
destiny. Find the objective measure of your
experience, and draw a line (or boundary)
accordingly.
Therefore,
in the Judgment verse associated with the image
of Limitation, the oracle says, Galling
limitation must not be persevered in. Gall
is a digestive enzyme. It dissolves food in the
gut. Too much gall will dissolve the gut itself.
Dont let emotional gall get you down. In
the art of life, one has to know when to draw a
line. Take this disappointment in stride. Move on
now with not even a glance backwards.
