Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

the I Ching Oracle, click here.
The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

The Family
You might
also meditate at the same time on the image of
The Family, which is the first of the images that
we have drawn for you today from our I Ching
Oracle. In following this advice you will be able
to take full advantage of the power of The
Creative about which I spoke in the above. Thus
in the Judgment verse associated with this image,
the oracle says, The perseverance of the
woman furthers. And in one of the verses
that has been highlighted specifically by
todays Reading from the image of The
Family, the oracle says, She is the
treasure of the house. Great good fortune.
When the
oracle describes the woman in the family, it
draws on traditional Chinese cultural attitudes
to highlight the Yin element in nature, which as
I said above, follows upon the Yang (Creative)
element. The woman conserves the wealth of the
family, and nurtures it from within. Obviously,
the operative value in this idea is a
conservative one. It is conservative in the sense
that it relies on ancient (patriarchal)
conceptions of familial relations. But it is also
conservative in a more practical sense, for it
suggests a need for you to be conservative in
your own affairs, to be prudent, to be sober, to
be cautious, to be focused on conserving your
resources, etc. Thus, in the other verse that has
been highlighted specifically by todays
Reading from the image of The Family, the oracle
says, She should not follow her whims. She
must attend within to the food. Perseverance
brings good fortune.
From the
repeated references in these verses to good
fortune, I think you will also see that there is
NO need for you to worry about the year ahead.
This entire Reading is meant merely to encourage
you to stay squarely on the path that you are on,
cultivating patience and shouldering your
responsibilities with calm and contented
assurance. There is no rush to get where you are
going. And the good fortune toward which you are
moving steadily and surely will bring you
happiness and fulfillment.
