called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching

Deliverance
The name
of the image of Deliverance might, perhaps
better, be translated into English as
Taking Apart. In this sense, your
powers of analysis are called into play in order
to examine your situation thoroughly. As one
commentary (Ritsema/Karcher) has said, It
emphasizes that analyzing and understanding
things in order to be delivered from compulsion
is the adequate way to handle it [your
situation]. To be in accord with the time, you
are told to take things apart.
But, at
the same time, it must be born in mind that the
analysis is not for its own sake. If it does not
result in action, then it is all in vain. Thus in
the so-called Judgment verse that has been
associated with the image of Deliverance from
very ancient times, the oracle says, If
there is no longer anything where one has to go,
return brings good fortune. If there is still
something where one has to go, hastening brings
good fortune. The latter is definitely the
case in this instance. In other words, you now
find yourself in a situation that is demanding
that you go, and indeed that you
hasten to go.
In the
verse that is highlighted specifically for you by
todays Reading from the image of
Deliverance, the oracle says, If someone
carries a burden on her back and nonetheless
rides in a carriage, she thereby encourages
robbers to draw near. Perseverance leads to
humiliation." Now, this pictorial
representation of a situation may seem a bit
obscure on first look, but you can cut to the
core of its meaning by simply understanding that
the oracle is describing a vulnerability in your
situation. This is created by virtue of the
position that you have voluntarily put yourself
in, possibly out of sense of pride. Please
understand that we do not intend any personal
judgment upon you by saying this. We are all
susceptible to the kind of erroneous thinking
that may have led you into your current
situation. In the I Ching Oracle, the word
humiliation is not used as a
qualitative expression of a persons merit
or demerit. It is simply a keyword that expresses
the need for a change in direction.
