Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Before Completion
The first
thing that you should know about these two
images, Enthusiasm and Before Completion, is that
they portend the coming of a new chapter in your
life. In fact, another, perhaps better,
translation for the name of the image of Before
Completion would be Transition. This
image appears at the end of the entire sequence
of 64 images contained within the oracle,
signaling an end to the full cycle of development
that all of these images describe.
The image
of Before Completion (or Transition) appears
directly after the image of After Completion,
which represents the formal end of the previous
cycle of development. This fact seems
particularly significant in view of one of the
verses that has been highlighted specifically for
you by todays Reading from the image of
Enthusiasm. In this verse the oracle says,
Deluded enthusiasm. But if after completion
one changes, there is no blame. Here a
situation is described in which you wake up, as
it were, from an erroneous enthusiasm. In other
words, an enthusiasm completes its course and is
revealed as having been based on an error in
perception or understanding. Having realized the
error, the enthusiasm fades, and you make a
change in your patterns of thinking and feeling,
which in turn results in a change of direction in
your life.
In your
case, this deluded enthusiasm
pertains to what you have been trying to
accomplish in your professional life. Thus, the
coming year is going to be characterized by
re-evaluations of your current direction and
position with regard to career and professional
matters in general. While you may have embarked
upon your current direction with great
enthusiasm, you will now have to make a very
objective examination of how things are going and
where they are tending. If you can remove
yourself to a substantial degree from the
influence of your emotions and desires, seeing
your situation with perfect objectivity as it
really is, you will escape the blame that comes
from persisting in plans and purposes that are
not leading you to success. A reorientation will
follow, and, as we noted, this will result in a
new direction and a new cycle of development that
will be very progressive indeed.
