Psychic Readings from The
Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the
I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary
information about these images for our clients,
and for the public, we have provided this archive
of brief articles.

The
abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually
called "hexagrams") symbolize all of
the related and interacting aspects of reality.
In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching
are discussed.

Approach
The image
of Approach is given a Chinese character that has
a wide range of meanings. Perhaps it most
fundamental meaning is expressed in the words,
becoming great. In the image as a
whole, the light-giving power is in constant
expansion, and this of course presents a very
positive portent for your progress during the
immediate future. The general idea conveyed in
this Reading suggests that you are in the process
of approaching to everything that is strong and
highly placed in the grand scheme of things. As a
secondary meaning, the image emphasizes the
importance of setting to work on the practical
affairs that in a concrete way help you to
realize your potential in life, challenging you
to cultivate and nurture the best that is in you.
In this
light, our Reading today expresses a wealth of
positive portents for progress along your path of
personal expansion during the next twelve months.
Thus, in the first verse that has been
highlighted specifically by todays Reading
from the image of Approach, the oracle says,
Joint approach. Perseverance brings good
fortune. This verse describes you as you
are, already well set on the path that promises
you fulfillment and perfect self-realization. As
the scholar, Richard Wilhelm, has said in his
commentary on this verse: This is an
incentive to men of ability. But it is
important to note that the oracle here stipulates
the importance of perseverance in
carrying out the tasks that you have set for
yourself.
